Customer Bonus Promotion in OANDA Global Markets

The Customer Bonus promotion gives you trading bonus credits* of 50% of your initial deposit, if you deposit a minimum of 25 USD. You can get a maximum bonus* of 5,000 USD.

The promotion is also applicable to the equivalent EUR, HKD or SGD deposits, as shown in the following table:

The promotion starts on 1st July 2022. The promotion has no set expiry date although when OANDA determines that the promotion will expire all clients will be given 30 days notice of the expiry. From the time of expiry, no new bonus payments will be made.

On the MT5 platform, you can view the applied bonus as a credit on the MT5 platform.

On the MT5 platform, proceed to the Trades tab within the terminal window. You will see the Credit value as shown in the following image:

No, you can’t transfer or withdraw the bonus. You can use the bonus for trading only. Any withdrawal of your account balance will result in the bonus credits being revoked.

The bonus will be removed in the following situations:

• When you initiate any withdrawal from your trading account.
• When OANDA issues a notice of termination.
• The MT5 trading account’s cash balance plus unrealised profit and loss on open positions falls to less than 50% of the bonus value. In the following hypothetical example:

Balance (initial deposit) = 1000 USD

Result: Credit (bonus value) = 500 USD and Equity = 1500 USD, as shown in the following image:

A position is opened, and in this example the market moves against the open position.

Subsequently, if the Unrealized Loss on open positions = -751 USD

Then, the Balance + Unrealized loss = 249 USD ( Below 50% of the bonus value)

In other words, the Equity = 749 USD ( Below 150% of the bonus value), as shown in the following image:

As a result, the bonus will be removed, taking the equity to 249 USD and the margin level to less than 50%. In this example, the client would face a margin closeout and the open trade will be automatically closed.

The bonus is removed if you initiate any withdrawal from your trading account. Therefore if you initiate an internal transfer of $1 from your trading account to your landing account, the bonus will be removed.

You may be eligible if you meet the following requirements:

• You are a retail client of OANDA Global Markets

• Your account application has been approved, but you have not made your first deposit on or before 00:00 GMT on 1st July 2022.
