What happens when I exceed the position limits or client and trading account limits ?
If you exceed the limits in a single sub-account, when you open a new trade in our trading platforms, you will get a notification about reaching the volume limit or exceeding maximum order size. You won’t be able to execute that trade.
If you exceed the limits on your cumulative exposure across OANDA’s sub-accounts, you won’t get any notification in the trading platforms. You are advised to actively monitor your exposure and keep them within the permitted limits. If you exceed the limits, we reserve the right to close any or all open positions in your account at our reasonable discretion.
