How can I trade CFDs on my account?

OANDA’s desktop trading platform has been discontinued. It will not be available for download if you signed up with OANDA on or after 20th January 2023. If you signed up with OANDA before 20th January 2023, you may continue using the desktop platform.

If you are a client of OANDA Europe Limited, OANDA (Canada) Corporation or OANDA Australia, CFDs are automatically enabled on your account. If you are already a client of OANDA Asia Pacific, enable CFDs on your existing account via the following link.

Select the OANDA division which you are registered:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • Europe
  • Asia Pacific
  • Australia

CFDs are not available to clients of our U.S. division, as CFD products are not available to residents of the U.S. or its territories.

If you are a client of OANDA Canada, CFDs are automatically enabled on your account.

  • On the OANDA Web platform, click on the instrument field in your Advanced Chart and type the name of the CFD instrument you are looking for to view and trade from its chart. You can also click on the pencil icon at the top of your Rates List/Panel to edit which instruments are displayed.
  • On the OANDA Desktop platform, go to Tools > User Preferences > Rates. You can add all available pairs, or you can select specific CFDs from the left-hand list, then click on Add.
