Which deposit methods are available?
What should you keep in mind before depositing funds?
As we may sometimes need to contact you about your deposits, we encourage you to closely monitor your email inbox (including your junk folder). Before proceeding, take note of our following policies:

We do not accept payments from third parties. Ensure that the name on the originating account matches the one on your OANDA account.

Cross-border withdrawals may be subject to delays.

We do not accept payments from other broker accounts.

What are the card fees?

We do not charge any card payment fees.

Your bank may charge a service fee on debit card transfers.

Your credit card provider may charge you a transaction fee and an international processing fee. Check with your credit card provider to determine the charges.

Your funds must originate from the same country of residence.
Which cards are accepted?

We accept Visa and Mastercard only.

We do not accept prepaid cards.

We cannot process deposits made with credit/debit cards issued by financial institutions outside of Australia.
What are the minimum and maximum deposit amounts for debit/credit cards?

There is no minimum deposit requirement.

The maximum daily (24h) deposit limit is 50,000 EUR (or the equivalent in AUD).

For new cards not previously registered with us, a daily (24h) limit of 20,000 EUR (or AUD equivalent) applies for the first 3 days.

If you wish to deposit funds exceeding these daily card limits, we recommend using bank transfer or BPAY as an alternative method.
What is the average processing time for card transactions?

Most transactions are processed instantly. However, in some cases, it may take up to 1 business day for your deposit to be fully processed.
What are the requirements for card transactions?

To ensure security, we only accept deposits from cards issued in the same name as the OANDA Australia account holder. The name on the card must match your OANDA account exactly. Be aware that any deposits made using a third-party card will be declined and the funds will be returned to the original card.

What are the requirements for bank transfers?

You need to initially set up your bank account profile. This is a one-time setup

The bank account details will be verified and approved for future deposits and withdrawals using the bank transfer/BPAY/PayID methods.

Ensure that you submit your transfer receipt or screenshot of the transaction to frontdesk@oanda.com. Otherwise, your deposit will experience a delay in processing. The transfer receipt/screenshot must show the following items:

Your bank account name and details

OANDA's bank account details

Amount sent

Your transfer memo and/or date.

Ensure that your wire transfers are sent from a bank account in your name.
