Which deposit methods are available?: OANDA (Canada) Corporation

We process deposits from debits cards that are backed by MasterCard or Visa.

  • Before you initiate a wire transfer from a new bank, create a bank profile and upload your bank statement for verification. We process wire transfers only from verified bank profiles.
  • When you make a wire transfer, we require the receipt or screenshots to verify the transaction. We may contact you to obtain the necessary document(s) and process the deposit.
  • We encourage you to proactively submit your wire transfer receipt to frontdesk@oanda.com to prevent any delay in processing the deposit. The transaction receipt or screenshot should contain the account name, the bank account details, the amount sent, your transfer memo and/or date.
  • Your bank account name must match with your registered OANDA account name.
  • We cannot accept payments by cheque or cash.

  • Your PayPal account name and email must match with your registered OANDA account details.
  • We cannot process deposits via PayPal if the PayPal account is linked to a debit or credit card. For successful transfers, your PayPal account should be linked to your bank account.
  • PayPal may charge you a service fee.

  • OANDA cannot accept payments from third parties. Please ensure that the name on the originating account matches with your OANDA account name. If you want to receive funds from a third party you need to set up a joint account with that party.
