Deposit funds with OANDA Global Markets

Deposits are subject to our hierarchy rule. If you have deposited using multiple methods, you must exhaust the total original deposit amounts in the following order:

  1. Credit/debit card
  2. Neteller
  3. Skrill
  4. Bank or wire transfer

Below are steps on how to fund your account using an APM on the OANDA portal:

  1. Go to portal.oanda.com

  2. Enter your login information and click LOGIN

  3. Select Fund Account located in the top right corner once you are logged into the portal

  4. Choose your preferred payment method from the drop-down menu under From Account

  5. Choose which account you wish to fund with this method from the drop-down menu under To Account

  6. Enter the amount you wish to deposit

  7. Click Submit to begin the payment process

    If you are using these instructions to process a deposit via Neteller, you will be required to enter your Neteller Member Email Address before being allowed to push Submit.

  8. If you are depositing for the first time, you’ll be required to provide card details, confirm the amount and currency and then click Deposit.

  9. If you have deposited previously, you may select one of the following options:

    • Select your existing payment method, confirm the amount and currency and then select Deposit

    • Provide the name, expiry date and security code on your new card. Confirm the amount and currency and then click Deposit.

Below are steps on how to fund your account using bank or wire transfer on the OANDA portal:

  1. Go to portal.oanda.com

  2. Enter your login information and click LOGIN

  3. Select Fund Account located in the top right corner once you are logged into the portal

  4. Choose your preferred payment method from the drop-down menu under From Account

  5. Choose which account you wish to fund with this method from the drop-down menu under To Account

  6. Enter the amount you wish to deposit

    The currency type in From Account must match the currency type in To Account in order to successfully begin the payment process.

  7. Click Submit to initiate the process your payment. You will receive instructions via email to complete the wire transfer process.

Below are steps on how to fund your account using the OANDA portal:

  1. Go to portal.oanda.com

  2. Enter your login information and click LOGIN

  3. Select Fund Account located in the top right corner once you are logged into the portal

  4. Click on the drop-down menu under From Account

  5. Choose Online Bank Transfers - Latin America

  6. Choose which account you wish to fund with this method from the drop-down menu under To Account

  7. Enter the amount you wish to deposit

  8. Click Submit to begin the payment process

  9. Select the desired Online Banking option available according to your geographical location

  10. Click to confirm your selection

  11. Login to the payment provider’s secure payment page and follow the instructions to make payment

  12. Some Latin American countries will require you to enter your personal ID after selecting the payment method.

Below are steps on how to fund your account using the OANDA portal:

  1. Go to portal.oanda.com

  2. Enter your login information and click LOGIN

  3. Select Fund Account located in the top right corner once you are logged into the portal

  4. Click on the drop-down menu under From Account

  5. Choose Online Bank Transfers - South Africa

  6. Choose which account you wish to fund with this method from the drop-down menu under To Account

  7. Enter the amount you wish to deposit

  8. Click Submit to begin the payment process

  9. Select the desired option available according to your geographical location

    1. Search for and/or select your bank

    2. Click to confirm your selection

    3. Login to your bank’s secure payment page and follow the instructions to confirm the payment

  11. Option two: QR Code Payment

    1. Click to generate QR code

    2. Follow instructions to scan the QR code on your mobile device, and login to your mobile banking app to confirm payment.

Below are steps on how to fund your account using the OANDA portal:

  1. Go to portal.oanda.com

  2. Enter your login information and click LOGIN

  3. Select Fund Account located in the top right corner once you are logged into the portal

  4. Click on the drop-down menu under From Account

  5. Choose Online Bank Transfers/eWallet - South East Asia

  6. Choose which account you wish to fund with this method from the drop-down menu under To Account

  7. Enter the amount you wish to deposit

  8. Click Submit to begin the payment process

  9. Select the desired option available according to your geographical location

    2. Click to confirm your selection

    3. Login to your bank’s secure payment page and follow the instructions to confirm the payment

    2. Follow instructions to scan the QR code on your mobile device, and login to your mobile banking app to confirm payment.

Alternative Payment Method(APM) provides funding through additional supported banks that are not available via the other funding methods detailed on this page. Below are steps on how to fund your account using an APM on the OANDA portal:

  1. Go to portal.oanda.com

  2. Enter your login information and click LOGIN

  3. Select Fund Account located in the top right corner once you are logged into the portal

  4. Click on the drop-down menu under From Account

  5. Choose Credit Card /Debit Card /Alternate Payments

  6. Choose which account you wish to fund with this method from the drop-down menu under To Account

  7. Enter the amount you wish to deposit

  8. Click Submit to begin the payment process

  9. Select the desired payment option available according to your geographical location

  10. Enter the deposit amount and select the deposit currency

  11. Click on Deposit to be transferred to the selected local payment provider’s secure payment page

  12. Login to your local payment provider’s secure payment page to complete the payment.

  • Your bank may charge a service fee.

  1. Create a transaction in the OANDA Portal.

    1. Log in your OANDA portal using your email and password.

    2.  Click on TRANSFERS .

    3. From the From Account dropdown, select Bank Transfer – USD (DEPOSIT ).

    4. From the To Account dropdown, select your landing account. For example, USD-000-xxxxxx.

    5. Enter the USD value of the amount you would like to deposit.

    6. Note down OANDA Bank account details displayed on the right before you click Submit .

      After you submit, you will notice this transaction in the Transaction History menu.

  2. Add funds to your Wise USD wallet. For instructions, you may look up the topic ‘How do I add money to a balance’ on the Wise help portal .

  3. Deposit those funds to your OANDA account. For instructions, you may look up the topic ‘How do i send money with Wise’ on the Wise help portal . When asked who are you sending money to ,  select New Contact > Business or Charity. For email address, enter ogmsales@oanda.com . Next, enter OANDA’s bank account details you noted in Step 1. f. and complete the transaction.

  4. This step is only applicable to first-time deposits from a Wise account.

    1. Download a PDF statement (transaction confirmation) of this OANDA deposit transaction from your Wise account. The statement must show your address, your Wise account number and the deposit transaction. For instructions, you may look up the topic ‘How do i download a statement’ on the Wise help portal .

    2. Add Wise as a funding source on your OANDA portal. Follow these instructions . Make sure you enter Wise in the Bank Name section and enter all related Wise information. In the Upload BANK STATEMENT section, upload the PDF you downloaded in Step 4 a.

      Should the name, address or account number change in future, we would require the transaction confirmation again for future deposits via WISE.

    If you have followed all the steps, the funds should reflect in your OANDA account on the same day. In case we need additional documents from you, we will email you and the processing time will be longer.

  • OANDA cannot accept payments from third parties. Please ensure that the name on the account from which the funds are originating matches that on your OANDA account. For your security, you can only withdraw funds by the same method and in the same currency that you used to deposit them.
  • OANDA does not charge any fees for deposits made by credit card, debit card, and bank transfers. You may however be charged fees by your payment provider.
  • Please note that OANDA Global Markets does not make cross-border withdrawals. Funds arriving from one country will need to be returned to source in that same country.
  • Deposit requests for more than US$9000 will be restricted if you have not provided the required documentation .
